This reminds me of the effect I'd imagine you'd get if you painted with oils on glass. The colors are really rich and seem to glow. I like the composition of the piece, too.

Very dramatic and very moving. The dark-light contrast, the full page, and the angle create a monumental feeling of timelessness. This is very strong and very lovely.
