Quite moody. Almost like a nightmare where you are running but can never get away.

miri i know theresa deep under lying meaning here but..... ill leave it to u. it reminds me of the kids game stop/go or 21 steps before the queen. then theres th webady guy in the far back and lil red riding hood and ur self portrait and the blue bird of happiness chirpin in ur ear. like i said take ur pick theres a lot to chose from.
not to mention thwe deteriorating hand over everything.
gives 1 alot to think about .

Looks likes ghouls on each side, I see the man running, I think the bird knows everything. I agree with Michael looks like a game.
I'll check back for the real story.
very intriguing, love it!

Well Michael pretty much covered it...I see a cityscape with ghoulish creepy eyes. Very ominous...Love the touches of blue in the sea of fiery color. This is just plain wonderful!

your painting is very symbolic in many ways.. the use of colors, the familiar red hood and running away from the darkness of the city.. its scarry in a way but releasing too, because of the underlying 'escape'. on second thought, the confused look of the girl added provoking thoughts. wow.. simply marvelous!

There's a bluebird on my shoulder. It's the truth; it's factual. But why is Riding Hood waiting at the light when it's green?... and there's that creepy figure creeping... The background is wonderful... literally oozing eeriness. Great pic with lots to feast upon...
That 'Match2' below leaves me very uneasy.

It's like in the movies- very cinematic-- Hitchcock and/or the modern horror film guys and Disney- and Miri all meet- great shot! She's not afraid cus Bluebird says it's just a movie? Is it Alice or Dorothy no place like home? Colors and everything else, as usual-beautiful & smartly done.
Can't wait to see what you paint for Halloween

This painting is pretty powerful, isn't it. The buildings look creepy and it blends well with the red sky. That man in the distance looks creepy too... does make me wanna run. I hope little red riding hood makes it!

Wonderful work! :)

Wonderful moody work, with powerful mythical and psychosexual undertones (they're connected) - Red Riding Hood, The Blue Bird - a meditation on growing, maturing, moving on in life. I'm not sure I understand the first figure, except as an archetypical pursuit nightmare, but the whole composition is beautifully set up in a layered way. A substantial work of art!

I really enjoy the imagery of the fairy tales in this one -- very evocative feeling of escaping, trying to escape. I say -- success!
