Very good work Miri! Reminds me a lot of the weather we've had today!

I am actually seeing a figure frozen in time in volcanic dust! It just has that look to me, and then there's the unexpected touch of red, like a rose petal. Your paintings always make me think; they always challenge me - in a very good way:)

Yeah- what Carla said- always challenging - in a good way & beautiful painting. Cold, snowy, dark, downtown alley, one figure seems not to care about whatever is happening, the other maybe frantically trying to catch something that was let go or taken away by a breeze,-- first look - looks like a red balloon thwipping away as it deflates- if balloon- then have to wonder what it symbolizes- whewww. Also, almost looks like coat flying up could be wings. Is like a novel...
This all really would make me wanna get back to the warm, safe indoors.
Peace.

I love the mysterious nature of this painting. For me too, it suggests a snowy foggy night. What medium did you use?

It's amazing how much that bit of red warms up the frostiness of this piece. I love the swirl of arctic air that surrounds the falling victim. I hadn't noticed the other shadowy figure in the alley until Andy pointed it out. I always have to stand still and look at your paintings for a while to see everything. It's my great pleasure to linger here.
The textures and colors work so well Miri. I can feel the bone-chilling temperature.

I see rose petals on the wind. A fury of sultry desire meant to drive the man into an amorous frenzy. He, in turn, is attempting to ground himself in the reality of drab grey buildings, his comfortable and safe normality. He is not ready for passion, but Mistress Wind will not be scorned.

I'm sure I have an incredibly weird perspective and I'm not even close to what you actually made lol. You are an amazing artist. I love the colours and the textures. Very provoking
