i love chai tea! and this room looks so cozy, a perfect place for a cup of tea. great work .
Oooh, this is my favourite of your so far! Shame partner prefers the bottle ... love the detail images on wall. Wonderful atmosphere here and love colour of tea set ... beautiful!
i looooove this! the house with room into room is totally wonderful! Beautiful work!!!!
Miri, your work is wonderful! I love this composition. This tells such a strong story. It is almost like you are there in the room as well.
Awesome painterly quality. Your edge quality and eye for composition are inspiring...so is your sublime idea of a morning with tea. Good stuff!
Lovely atmosphere in this piece!
This is so lovely, so quiet there in the morning. Great details and the rooms in the room!
There's a sense of tension in this piece...the woman drinking tea and the man with his beer...they both seem to be in their separate spaces. I love the little details when i look at the larger picture...the Morton salt, the happy home pictures (irony?), the toast waiting to be buttered, the glow under the kettle. This is so moody and so well done!
That's is so cute and pretty.Gen
great illustration. anyone can tell a story just looking at it. the light and composition are wonderful. ahhhhhhh mornings!
A really great picture with warm colours and a very good morning feeling. I agree sometimes it would be wise to just stay in bed, but after tea things may get more clear. Great work.
Wow, this is a beautiful illo...It shows how romantic it is to have tea in the morning...
your illustrations have such a beautiful dreamy feeling!
Another wonderful illustration. I love the purple tea set. Love the interior of the piece; curious - is it a home? a tea house? love the mystery of the long hallway, the little pieces on the shelves.
Wow! This is gorgeous! I particularly like your lighting in this piece.
Very nice. Looks like a nice lazy day. :)
This one is great. I love all the details...my fav is the salt!Super style. Would love to know the how-tos on this one.Looks nice and quiet there...but is it?Smooch,The Tart
Great illo. I love it.Maybe someone should invent beer tea?love
beautiful painting!! Love the atmosphere!! Very homey!
I think you did a wonderful job with this. I love the atmosphere. The mix of brights and darks. I also love the beer in his hand and her hand on her belly. Its like they are waiting for when the new arrival will be here. And then they will both be drinkning the beer. :)
Like this very much! I think you have a great expression with lights and shadows!
That looks like cold barley tea in the guy's hand! :) This image has a spooky feel to it. I think it's the way you've manipulated it (if that's wahta you did) -- kind of surreal. I like that.
This work is so calming! You can almost smell the teas brewing in the air.
I am really curious about the origin of this purple tea set. I mean, this is the best color that highlight the tension of the atmosphere and it perfectly reflects the feelings of this couple..nice illo!
What a warm, nurturing room you've captured. The light is wonderful and the details in the backround are prescious. I love that long hall. Beautiful work.
Great tonal values and atmosphere.
what a wonderful job you've done bringing light in through the windows. it balances the almost plaintive tone of the painting really nicely.
It looks like something tragic just happened and they know things will never be the same. Either that, or they are just really really tired :) I love the hues and lighting. You are very good with colors!
Wow, this is so beautiful. It's like a movie scene. I like the sunshine coming in from the window.
excellent interpretation. A beautiful painting with incredible sense of depth.
I agree with paula. Colors give a great sense of depht! Beautiful work!
Wow, this is absolutely gorgeous, love the colours, the light, the atmosphere, so evocative, I like the hint of sadness in it too. Well done.
Beautiful illo and I love the punch of purple in the tea set. Nice work!andrea
Wow this is awesome! Love the depth and the light radiating through the window. they seem to be in deep thought. wonderful piece
This piece is absolutely stunning! I love how you have captured such dramatic light here! Brandi
we visited the husband's family last week and i am in serious chai withdrawal. great light and mood.
This piece has great drama... like a finished storyboard for a movie scene. There's a pause in their conversation... reflective for her; awkward for him. Is that a brewski in his hand... before noon? Or is he pouring something into his tea? I like the chair in the foreground, slightly out of focus. This would be a great piece to put in front of a creative writing class and let the students write a short story or poem.
EEEaaWWW! This is so compelling! The moment is made eternal. But is it a moment that we would want to have resonate forever? Beautifully executed. What is the medium?
Wonderful painting - great light - and now...I must go pour myself a cup of Chai! ;)
thats beautiful¡¡¡ i love it wonderfull¡¡¡
Great job. Was in done in oil paints? On software? I can't tell anymore it seems! Anyhow, it sounds like it's worth getting out of bed for, if not for anything else (the tea and cake).
love the warm palette here - did you enter this for the Tea illustrationfriday brief?thanks for your kind words on my own stuff too!
great work, seems so peaceful, I wopuld love to be there...
This looks sweet and sad in the same way. I like the light coming from the window!
wow. this one got me. Nice writing and then quite the complex picture. Nice work.
I'm impressed that you have a full, purple service.
great piece ! the lighting is quite nicely done, i'm the Earl grey or English breakfast tea type Me-self! One can really feel the lazy morning in pyjamas athmosphere ! Just plainly like it Bonjour !
Beautiful play of light from the window. A beautiful atmospheric painting.
That is a very long, twisty hallway you've included here. This picture is like a dream, begging for interpretation. I like that interactive quality which draws me in. And the violet tea pot... I bet it adds a special flavor.
Your work is very stylish and powerful. I really like it!!! can't wait to see more:)
This is amazing. I love chai and I love your purple tea set!
wow, great use of light and colour. I can imagine there's an immense story in this picture.
Lovely and compeling!
This is spectacular. . I love the light. . . I love what the shadows look like in the table. . I like the tlight from the different sources. . I like the way the paint looks . . kind of impressionisticI like the red in the painting. . \I love the depth and the light down the hall .. I can't tell if the figure behind the tavle is male or female. . maybe I see a mustache. . beautiful work. .
there sems to be an interesting story going on hereMarianneI was the last anonymous tooI can't remember my loggin.
Hi CloudI'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the persons a man, although having a mustache isn't always the clincher on that question. There are women who have mustaches, I guess then the real question is, does it wax or shave?
OMG! WOW! This is the coolest Illo F entry ever! I Love the way you painted the light and shadows.. great great! reminds me of Vermeer!! hmmm... "cawwoocatsandlips" hmm.. hope its ok if i save this on my pc.. make it my desktop bg for a while...I was wondering about the lines "when I probably should have just stayed in bed" but applying it to myself.. i defenitely can relate! (i think the guy is not drinking tea too btw)
wow, another great great illo. i'm speechless.
