TEA Morning Tea

A toasty cup of chai, and a warm piece of homemade coffee cake,
just sublime, but, there have been times, when I probably should
have just stayed in bed.

Awesome painterly quality. Your edge quality and eye for composition are inspiring...so is your sublime idea of a morning with tea. Good stuff!

This is so lovely, so quiet there in the morning. Great details and the rooms in the room!

There's a sense of tension in this piece...the woman drinking tea and the man with his beer...they both seem to be in their separate spaces. I love the little details when i look at the larger picture...the Morton salt, the happy home pictures (irony?), the toast waiting to be buttered, the glow under the kettle. This is so moody and so well done!

A really great picture with warm colours and a very good morning feeling. I agree sometimes it would be wise to just stay in bed, but after tea things may get more clear. Great work.

Another wonderful illustration. I love the purple tea set. Love the interior of the piece; curious - is it a home? a tea house? love the mystery of the long hallway, the little pieces on the shelves.

I think you did a wonderful job with this. I love the atmosphere. The mix of brights and darks. I also love the beer in his hand and her hand on her belly. Its like they are waiting for when the new arrival will be here. And then they will both be drinkning the beer. :)

Like this very much! I think you have a great expression with lights and shadows!

That looks like cold barley tea in the guy's hand! :) This image has a spooky feel to it. I think it's the way you've manipulated it (if that's wahta you did) -- kind of surreal. I like that.

I am really curious about the origin of this purple tea set. I mean, this is the best color that highlight the tension of the atmosphere and it perfectly reflects the feelings of this couple..nice illo!

What a warm, nurturing room you've captured. The light is wonderful and the details in the backround are prescious. I love that long hall. Beautiful work.

Great tonal values and atmosphere.

what a wonderful job you've done bringing light in through the windows. it balances the almost plaintive tone of the painting really nicely.

It looks like something tragic just happened and they know things will never be the same. Either that, or they are just really really tired :)
I love the hues and lighting. You are very good with colors!

we visited the husband's family last week and i am in serious chai withdrawal. great light and mood.

This piece has great drama... like a finished storyboard for a movie scene. There's a pause in their conversation... reflective for her; awkward for him. Is that a brewski in his hand... before noon? Or is he pouring something into his tea? I like the chair in the foreground, slightly out of focus. This would be a great piece to put in front of a creative writing class and let the students write a short story or poem.

EEEaaWWW! This is so compelling! The moment is made eternal. But is it a moment that we would want to have resonate forever? Beautifully executed. What is the medium?

Wonderful painting - great light - and now...I must go pour myself a cup of Chai! ;)

Great job. Was in done in oil paints? On software? I can't tell anymore it seems! Anyhow, it sounds like it's worth getting out of bed for, if not for anything else (the tea and cake).

That is a very long, twisty hallway you've included here. This picture is like a dream, begging for interpretation. I like that interactive quality which draws me in. And the violet tea pot... I bet it adds a special flavor.

Hi Cloud
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the persons a man, although having a mustache isn't always the clincher on that question. There are women who have mustaches, I guess then the real question is, does it wax or shave?
