ROBOT/Michael

Well here we are, you are leaving then-yes, I
can see that you are. I found a green space-very
small, but, enough. I will put you there, I can do that.
So human Michael, is that me, really? I forget, they
never do. Every triumph, tragedy, all nuance of
human, of you, I worked, I solved. I am the lion
in the zoo-I am lost. The sweet green pasture,
soon I will take you there.
Green, I know how it looks, can find all parts, but
I don't feel it. Father, red, it is heart, alone,
I can feel red. I love you, what color is that, red? So
many times you quizzed me. I know red.
Please!

This is so sad...it humanizes the robot in a way that's heartbreaking. I wonder how it will go on? Your work always seems to contain such a strong emotional depth, and this is no exception.

I really like the way you use light and shadow and your painterly style to create the eerie feeling.

I love the way the robot doesn't quite fit in the human chair. The colors are great...the deep purple bed...the light going out.

Hello Hardwax,

When I look at this picture, with out the narrative. . and even with out the subject matter ("robot").....

I am struck by the two figures. .
the one in the bed I am believing he is dying . .

the one in the chair. . is the one that loves the one in the bed. .

(my interpretation)

the one that is sitting up and will resume her life seems more dead than the one in the bed.

What I am trying to say is that the survivor (figure in the chair) ie. the "strong one," sitting up is really the one that is dying. . because the loss of the loved one is so great.

I like the electricity. .
the light on the head of sitting figure. . and in the leg. . and coming from the far room. .

the light

the electric light

Strong image. One can explain it in several different ways, I can see of your text and the comments here. For me it's if death come, then only the robot's back - I can't explain it in another way. Besides, your technique is very talented and creative.

When a person die, a world disappears - that's not my words, but they are true.

Thank you for seeing this great image.
