Thankfully- I'm still young enough to not worry too much about buying green bananas--- but this scene may make me think twice. Someone out there bears heavy ill will towards the green bananas? You ever buy one that never ripens- it just stays that dark hard green forever? That can be irritating. Maybe it's metaphorical ( I wont go Freudian here)? Maybe there's a monkey in the kitchen gone mad (who watches the Sopranos)? (Monkeys do make tools and weapons out of sticks). Maybe the bananas wouldn't sit still for the still-life?- the peeled ones do look very figurative. Is it about how plants may have feelings too? Do they scream when they are harmed? I really hope they don't feel. But- maybe sometimes skewered bananas are just skewered bananas? Whatever the case- you've created another awesome painting! Very very original and interesting!
did some one have a bad hair day or just a bad week in gerneral or did they think twice about making banana cream pie outta green ones. nice quite intensity and tension here
mmmm the bananas attacked me..... before I could attack back... (sigh) .... so I'm extremely glad you got to em.. before they got to YOU... (smiling here... AGAIN!) . I swear... you cannot give a banana an inch!
It's a green banana massacre! Looks like the green tea got it pretty bad too here. Anyhow, who would have thought of this? I love this unique, painterly take on the subject here!

Wow, that looks like a mess! Makes me think of a banana (plantain) massacre. Very interesting painting and take on the topic!

Another awesome illo! I want some of what Andy's been smoking.
Okay, the mid-air skewered banana and the blue cup? Priceless.
Reminds me of Honoré Daumier's Rue Transnonian, le 15 Avril 1834.
I think if I walked into a room and saw this, I would walk back out. Regardless of that though, a fine illustration!
This is true art! I'm banana splitting ...
very interesting painting, great composition...it all has a mystery in it!

Cool! You should do some illo-ing on a friday night!
pretty funny still life
I like it! Very fun!
Love the thickness of the paint, there is something surreal and un-settleing about this painting!! AWESOME!
mmmmmmmmm.... I think we are going to need a forensic sciences specialist for bananas....Hhhehehe...
This is a potentially controversial picture, if we do not pursue what had happened, the work itself is very difficult to express.
Terrific work! May also be in the work to express the emotions!?
I don't even know what to say...who would think that in this day and age that such things could still happen...another one of my favorites...

Wow, this is the most beautiful, luminous banana mayhem I've ever seen. Where do you get your ideas from?!
We've got an old fashioned potato, a nice juicy tomato, but yes, we have no... oh- nevermind.
