Oh Miri, fantastic illo! I love how the petals are falling in an opposing direction from the houses. The red sky, floating houses and colored hills looks like part of the solar system to me. The shadows on the houses and balcony are one of my favorite colors, that deep periwinkle which brings out magic whenever it's used! I like how you have the houses moving away, carrying the occupants or old neighbors with them. Hopefully they'll be blogging soon so they can keep in touch! Your work always makes me think in such a good way.
This is some painting! wow! This is another one of my favorites now. I'm jealous. More please. It says a lot in a little space- like a great poem/painting can. Somewhat sad, somewhat mournful, somewhat scary, somewhat surreal, somewhat forlorn, and somewhat hopeful- and somewhat not. (and it may say something somewhat different to someone else). (Could also have to do with Kansas? Sad event). Great depth in more than one way- brilliant use of scale, color, design, and shapes.
Most beautiful, soft and warm! Warm memories drifting away ... I wish a new neighbour will move to you that holds the same warmth as the past ... have used the word 'warm' three times but your painting IS :)
My bad for missing out on your stuff! This is so fine. Rather than seeing the houses drifting away, as some commented, I see them coming forward and landing... or maybe the same house getting closer. And the flower losing its petals... the passing of time. Great pastel colors. Looked for your submission when I posted and didn't see it... Oh, and the story to the 'remember' illustration. Wonderful. Great dialogue... or monologue, whichever.

Lovely illo. I love how the houses are floating off into space. Very cool!
Wow, love the sense of motion you've captured with this one. One never knows what to expect from you Miri! Fine job!
Very interesting! I especially like the colors in this piece.
filled with meaning and depth, a beautiful flower. Wonderful!
seems like the rose losing its leaves is symbolic for lost freindships of neighbors. But really i would lov having this view from my balcony
sometimes a neighbor moves away and a new one comes along-or they will always be neighbors come what may....
.... this could be in the countryside.....the yellow covered hills looks like it is full of mustard plants.

This is so good! Love ths soft scene and color. Great!
thought provoking as usual. Nice contrast of shapes and hard edges and business versus soft and round and natural.
lovely design and composition as always!
This style is beautiful!
As an architect, I don't know how to design a house float in the air, but you are doing good! :))
Put the fallen petals back into flowerpots, a new flower will be there!
Houses heading off to settle in the new subdivision? :) This is a wonderful piece of surrealism!
Wow, this reminds me of Italy, and the moon, or some equally out of this world place. Cool!
