LOVE LOVE LOVE this image Hardwax!!! I'm never going to make it to your beach HAHA, so won't bother scaling upwards};-}
this is incredible.. very powerful image
Powerful stuff Miri. I could write a whole story describing what's going on here. I'm somewhat reminded of the work of Bosch, not so much in style, but in concept perhaps.
this is really tough!
I have to say you really have me stumped with this one Miri. I see some of the figures jumping off the puffy platforms, yet some are trying to be pulled onto them. They look like custard filled donuts to me, and that's distracting because I love custard! But the overall event here seems serious to me. And Billy Joel's "We didn't start the fire..." is now playing in my head like an ear worm.Very mysterious work this week. You've stunned my brain in a good way!
When I saw the topic and was trying to guess what you might be doing it brought to mind one of the first pics I saw of yours...the popping button...was the word Zipper?
Dante's Inferno comes to mind, but whatever... it's a struggle of epic proportions, scaled back only by the limits of our imagination. Cool.
What a cool and fantastic vision!
Wow! Unsettling on a large scale & WONDERFUL painting! The only escape from hell- is on what looks like empty caption bubbles? Is 'hell' saying there is no meaning to all the hellishness?Or is it that there may be an answer/reason- but no language to describe it- accept it and get a free pass out of the flames - (at least for awhile)? Or (related a bit to previous) is it all 'ignorance is bliss'- just forgetdahbout it and go to the beach? I try and be as ignorant as pos.- if I can't do anything about it. Can you tell how well I succeed at it? I'm babbling (I should emulate those empty caption bubbles). Thanks for making me try and think.So what's this all mean Miri?!!!!Peace.
The Hindenburg Disaster Squared?I LOVE the flames, and spent alot of time sussing out what all the little people were doing - captivating!
Very interesting. I like how everyone can interepret this image differnetly and you are making people think. Art should do that. I see two things: 1. a contrast between works and faith and/or 2. A great escape from a doomed world. Either way the idea of scaling something did not cross my mind when I thought about "Scale". Great idea.
Those white flying vessels are so tasty looking! Love the many stories that could be found in this.
Really nice illo :o)Many people try scape from the hell..no everyone will can go to heaven. (well, I saw this....)Nice weekend
